Just 30 minutes from the Les Chevrets campsite, come and discover Dinan, a magnificent medieval stronghold on the banks of the Rance valley!

A Town of Art and History since 1985, Dinan offers many assets for memorable tourist experiences!

Take the time to stroll through the cobbled streets of the historic center and admire its timber-framed houses. You can also walk around the ramparts of the historic town to admire the Rance, a river that rises in the Mené mountains in Collinée and flows into the Manche in Ille-et-Vilaine.

You can also take advantage of its rich cultural heritage.

You’ll have the opportunity to visit its Château, which features several architectural elements dating back to the 16th century: the ducal keep, the Tour de Coëtquen and the Porte du Guichet. You’ll also have the chance to discover the 46 m-high Tour de l’Horloge, which offers a splendid panoramic view of Dinan.

Take a break at the Dinan harbor for a crêpe, and take a boat ride along the Rance River.

You can also continue your medieval journey to Léhon, Brittany’s Cité de Caractère, 2 kilometers from Dinan, with its magnificent castle.

On the way back, discover the EDF discovery area at the Rance tidal power station, located at the mouth of the Rance between the towns of La Richardais and Saint Malo. Commissioned in 1966 and unique for many years, the Rance dam generates electricity using the force of the tide.
