Come discover one of the largest aquariums in France, with 600 different underwater species from seas around the globe!

At 20 minutes from the Chevrets campsite, the Grand Aquarium Saint Malo is located at the entrance of the corsair city, and is intended to share emotions with family, from the smallest to the largest.

The visit of the aquarium is imagined around a fiction with Jean Kermalo, a Malouin explorer, who goes on a tour of the world of the oceans. The exploration of the underwater worlds is thus divided into 9 universes. Among the must-see is its famous ring of the seas or 360-degree circular pool that houses various species of sharks, but also its touch pool that can come in contact with carp, rays, starfish or flying foxes .

You can also dive aboard the Nautilus, a mini-submersible with a capacity of 5 people, where you can catch black tip sharks, leopard rays or Napoleon fishes from your portholes. Thanks to the Nautilus, you offer yourself a true dive!

Even stronger, the large aquarium also offers you an unforgettable diving in the abyss! Thanks to the Abyssal Descender, unique descent simulator in the world, you go for a few minutes in the abyss to discover surprising species!

Finally, among the novelties in 2019, the large Aquarium opens a new universe with fantastic animals, but also offers new species (nurse shark, albino grouper, albino axolotl, elephant fish, opistognath, zebrafish, splendid garden eel … ) and a new exhibition from April (the legends of the sea in Brittany and in the world’s oceans).

Another good reason to visit the big Aquarium is that it is also a committed player for the preservation of our blue planet. With the World Ocean Network, the Grand Aquarium will celebrate World Oceans Day on June 8th World Oceans Day!
